PEOPLE & PARTICIPATION
Shared value.
New opportunities.
We want helpful robots to improve living standards for people and communities. Our proposed approach starts with compensating the people who capture data, through employer partnerships and independent participation.
Three proposed ways to participate
01 / EMPLOYER PROVIDES A PHONEPhone and service.
The employer supplies a new iPhone and pays for the phone and plan, free for the employee to use in exchange for data capture. The employer receives a small data ownership stake and a direct revenue distribution if the data is sold or resold.
02 / EMPLOYEE USES THEIR PHONEShared ownership.
The employee uses their own phone. The employee and employer split a portion of ownership in the captured data, compensating the employee through their share.
03 / INDEPENDENT CONTRIBUTORA personal stake.
A contributor without a company affiliation receives partial ownership of the data they collect as compensation for their effort.
Too Much Trash retains a percentage of each piece of data to earn revenue and sustain the business. Ownership percentages and sale, resale, and distribution terms remain unspecified.
A path as work changes
Our longer-term ambition is better pay or benefits during capture, followed by access to reskilling as automation develops. Potential paths include local robot fleet coordination and wider training networks. These are goals to develop with employers and workers.
